GTM Re-Commissions Fitness Trail in the
National Park
Under the theme Fitness improves longevity and Fitness
is the best insurance

Over 20 years ago the GTM Group in collaboration with the National Parks Commission (NPC) launched the fitness trail around the outer perimeters of the National Park. While some minor repairs were done over the years the GTM Group recognized recently that all that was left standing were remnants of the Trail.
On December 28, 2006 the rehabilitated trail was re-commissioned and this time around in our collaboration with the National Parks Commission we entered into a formal agreement with them. This will ensure that the trail is maintained year round.
About the Trail…

This GTM Fitness Trail is made up of twenty (20)
exercise stations that are user and environmentally friendly. At each
station, users are coached by signs carrying clear instructions. This
unique, outdoor, self-guided exercise system provides a good fitness
workout for people of all ages, any ability and fitness level. In
addition you work at your own pace. The Trail is designed with a variety
of exercises and on completion of the entire trail; one would have
worked every muscle in the body.
We expect that in addition to the regular park joggers, this trail will attract sporting bodies, as we know it can contribute to the over-all fitness training objectives of any sport and provide a welcome break from other fitness routines.
Evidence now confirms the benefits of exercise and
this is GTM's way of contributing to a healthy nation.
It
would be remiss of us not to mention the efforts of the late Bunny
Fernandes who was instrumental in the setting up of the original trail.
He actively pursued this venture with the GTM Group and was directly
involved in the construction of the stations. We also owe a huge depth
of gratitude to Ms. Inge Nathoo and her team for accommodating our
many requests over the last few months while the stations were being
constructed.
We trust that together we can maintain this mini
outdoor gym - where the public can work out effectively, safely and
have fun.
At GTM We care - Life is precious…Fitness improves living and we wish all users a healthy journey.
